Fall Playoff Picture

Daniel Clarke
As we near the end of the season, many of our fall sports teams are looking ahead to the postseason.

Varsity field hockey made the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) tournament with a league record of 2-4. The Storm earned the number four seed and will host Holy Child on Monday, Nov. 6 for its quarterfinal matchup. St. Luke’s won its regular-season contest against the Gryphons 4-2, so it is confident of making it to the semi-final on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Girls varsity soccer will be the number five seed for the FAA tournament and travel to Rye Country Day School on Monday, Nov. 6. The Storm beat the Wildcats 3-2 in the regular season and we hope to repeat that and progress to Wednesday’s semifinals. The team has an overall record of 9-4, with one game remaining, so it is also hoping to qualify for the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Tournament starting on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Boys varsity soccer finished the FAA regular season 4-3 to claim the number four seed. The Storm hosts Rye Country Day School on Tuesday, Nov. 7 with the potential semi-final on Thursday Nov. 9, and the final on Saturday, Nov. 11. St. Luke’s lost to the Wildcats 0-2 early in the season but believes the home-field advantage will help them reverse that result. The Storm also hopes to qualify for the NEPSAC tournament with an overall record of 10-7.

St. Luke’s cross country team had the FAA Championship Race on Tuesday, October 31, at Waveny Park in New Canaan. The NEPSAC Championship Race takes place on Saturday, Nov. 11. at The Marvelwood School in Kent, CT.
